Yes Bill, I think we could prepare the snapshot from actual sources.
I know that there are some problems but the most features work fine and
the simulator is very stable. So you could prepare the  intermediate 
tarball release now. I currently working on a tiny doc so no technical
changes
will come next time and the doc could be downloaded via cvs after the
tarball.
So I please you to do it :-)

The workpackage for regression test/gdb is on my list but not
so important I hope :-)
