In some respect I agree with you on this one, but then again often it's just some individuals who are *-holes :-) ...

I think things are progressing good on this list ? Everyone here is nice , ( exept me ;-) ).

And I think when it all comes down to it it's about whether we can produce the code or not, if we get the code running all is well, and other obstacles can be overcome.

So I'm all for the technical discussion and patches approach.

can't we put the lib on savannah for now ?

 ( ps. please stay ! )

Definitely. You cannot contribute code to GCC if you don't have

It would be nice if the people who keep saying "yeah, you need one" would
actually tell me where to go about doing such... ;)

Like many poeple, I have never contributed to a GNU project before; please
excuse my ignornace. Considering that all my polite questions seem to be met
with obtuse or condescending answers, I'm reconsidering whether to work on
this at all!

I can say this: Many other free projects are far more friendly toward new
contributors.

I am not impressed with the inclusiveness or friendliness of the GNU
community. The general attitude is rather snobby (especially in the gcc
list.) I suppose it hasn't occurred to GNU folk that they might want to be a
bit more forthcoming with "new" folk. Otherwise, you aren't going to gain
many new contributors...

I'm funding any time I spend on this out of my own pocket; I don't have a
corporate sponsor to pay my bills. I've been programming for a very long
time, but if my expertise isn't "good" enough because I don't know all the
little GNU procedures, I can find other ways to contribute to society.
