Well, what do we send to them?  Bits culled from the press release and
advert, plus extra bits about the initial activities that I hope people will
begin to organise now.  Yes, everyone can help us out, please...

I think a "task list" aimed at members on the affs.org.uk would be a good
idea.  A page listing not too complicated things that all members and
supporters can do to add weight to our campaigns.  The software patent
activities are a good example.

Indeed.  This is why I am holding back on that one.  Do people know of
problems with the nochex transfer service?  I doubt it is based on Free
Software (but I might be wrong), but it would be useful to have online
payments in some way.  I don't have a merchant account that I can use for
this, but maybe someone else does?
