Well, Eric, don't misunderstand him here: that's simply because they
continued development *only* within that Git repo, so you can only see
it there -- which in turn requires you to use git if you really *want*
to see it.

Seconded. The big advantage then: even if the project moves to Git
(which probably makes some sense now, as it's the cheapest path to
merge all the externally made changes back), you'll at least profit
from the Savannah Git web interface, so you could look at the actual
code without installing it yourself (and learning how to use it).

Update: as Thomas Klepp was the only one from the "new developers
team" who already registered as a developer, I simply granted him the
admin bit, so he's your new admin in charge now. Complain to him for
anything that doesn't work. :-) (You've already got my offer about
what I am willing to help out, if you want.)

My only request: please leave the legacy simulavr code in the existing
CVS repo as it is. I withdraw my former request to merge that into
the new VCS, I'd rather keep it where it is and as it is, so in case I
really have to tweak anything there, I can do it without learning
everything about yet another VCS which I don't need anywhere else.
However, the simulavrxx subtree of the CVS repo can probably cvs rm'ed
then, and replaced by a README.simulavrxx placeholder file, directing
anyone to the location of the new VCS tree.
