I have a bit more time than usual to mess around with getting Swarm back up on my LinuxPPC system and downloaded the swarm rpm. Since I don't know java, I am leaving the kaffe one behind. However, I was wondering what swarm-static was? Does it just have swarm and kaffe together or what?

This snapshot below compiles for me on linuxppc:

  ftp://ftp.swarm.org/pub/swarm/src/testing/swarm-2001-01-13.tar.gz

Here are the PPC RPMs, but I should say they weren't built using a stock
linuxppc 2000 install. The RPMs were built on an older linuxppc 1999
system on which I upgraded the compiler toolchain, so ymmv.

  ftp://ftp.swarm.org/pub/swarm/binaries/redhat/ppc/snapshots

[Unfortunately, It's pretty difficult for me to make these since the
Mac I have access to is slow and has limited disk space.]
