Ah - you are right - I had copied the original hi-itrans file to sa-itrans without changing its contents, and that version was being used. Now I confirm that the fixes are indeed in place, and I look forward to the official version of sa-itrans!
PS: I still think that it is a good idea to change the file (description ..) entry as suggested earlier..
