Aldrik, I think I agree with your *conclusion* -- that Windows support
is important -- but I'm pretty sure I don't agree with the quoted line of
reasoning.

Let's start by thinking about:

 1. Target Market?
 2. Target Market Needs?

given that we all are already generally well steeped in a background of knowing
basically how Arch currently works and what the important abstractions are
that define it.

Those two questions could be summarized:

 1. Target Market?                       \   1+2:
 2. Target Market Needs?            /            Product Opportunity?

Maybe someone will figure out that there is some interesting target
market whose needs don't include Windows in the slightest.  It
wouldn't then be "professional" to insist on Windows.

My own suggested target markets would suggest that Windows support
is important but we don't have consensus around my suggestions.
