Btw, what exactly is the difference between 8859-8-i and 8859-8-e?  I
understand that 8859-8 implies visual order (is that right?), and that
8859-8-i is a logical-order text that needs to be run thru UAX#9-style
reordering, but what is 8859-8-e?  Do they mean to say that 8859-8-e
uses _only_ explicit formatting codes, with no implicit direction
implied by the character types?  That is, a Hebrew or an Arabic letter
is _not_ treated as strong R unless embedded within RLO..PDF?
