As  I said in my last message, the ispell interface works indeed with 
the patch for emacs-20.4; it does *not* -:( work however for emacs-19.34
(mule-2.3, in which the editing works better, but the isearch is a
mess etc)

You will find a dict in the ivrix web site. Be warned it is not a big
hit, because of the difficulties with prefixes etc.

There is a sort of editor also suited for writing tex, with a better 
spell checker he2-0.60-1.i386 which you find in sourceforge.
