When I used 2.0 there were problems with its virtual machine, which I
thought was a special IBM VM, not Sun JDK 1.2 or Sun JDK 1.3. Has
that changed? Being evil proprietary software, it was very difficult
to debug. It seemed to use native threads, so I speculated it could
be a thread safety issue with Cygwin. Of course, if you were using
Visual Age (or any IDE) the PATH and CLASSPATH would need to be set in
the environment. You can run the javaswarm scripts with no arguments
to see what settings it makes.
