You are right.
I did not mean to be fatalistic nor imply stopping further improvements.

Sometimes when you make internal changes the gain (immediate and future)
is not immediately "seen" by the user, whereas the pain affecting
existing user code will "jump at their faces".

Cannot agree more.
And it is great to know you are all doing your best, without forgetting
to take users' perception into consideration.
