Hi,
I've not used 3.5 yet, but I can say that when using TW4 (under wine)
I find it a real pain to switch around the 7 windows I want open without
closing any by mistake, and I wish there was a way that tw4 could have an
open GUI.

That said, I've not often found BE to be that cluttered, and expect
that (once BE gets more stable on windows, or he gets fed up with
the viruses his son brings home and installs linux) it'd be somewhat
harder to give remote help to our tranlsator if I can't say "look on the
left hand side of the screen at the top and find the bit where it says
file and click there and then on the bit where it says ...".

Being really optimistic, would it be possible to have a box in the
features menu that would allow undocking of windows, but in "basics only
mode" the windows to be permanently docked?

David
