It is saying you don't have jikes.

If you don't have the jikes rpm installed in your system, the I don't believe the swarm rpm would install either, because swarm's rpm listes jikes as a requirement. So I'm thinking either you used some rpm switch to override the rpm dependency checks or that swarm itself is not installed.

Dear paul,

I have actually run "export SWARMHOME=/usr" a few times. Each time I typed javacswarm, I got "/usr/bin/javacswarm:jikes:command not found". I checked /usr/bin/ and found that javacswarm and javaswarm are both there. I doubted it was a problem of path, so I used pico .bash_profile to access the file and added the path "...:/usr/bin". It did not work, either.
1. What is wrong?
2. Should I issue "make" at the directory where I have my heatbug programs?

Thanks,

Li
