Yeah, I've seen this but have never been able to reproduce it or see
an explanation for it.  What does your bltwish report for "puts
$tcl_library"?  

The place where tcl_library should be set is in the internal Tcl
library function TclpSetVariables.  You might try tracing in there
to confirm that part works ok.

Btw, I notice that ldd doesn't report a BLT shared library.  Check to
see that you have a link from libBLT.so.2 to libBLT.so in the `lib'
BLT install subdirectory.  (I don't mean to imply that I think it is a
BLT-related problem, though.)
