bltwish says:
/opt/tcl/lib/tcl8.0

which makes me even more confuse. Did I forget to throw out some
traces of tcl7.6? Couldn't find any.

My experience with gdb is somewhat limited but I'll try.

Yes, I forgot to set the link in that installation.  Anyway, it didn't
affect my seg faults.
