Thanks, it has been a nice explanation. Yes, i have noticed that even bad
cards like onboard Sis support accelerated blits (using testvidinfo app
from SDL). So, on these cards GL would be faster than SDL blitting,
specially on linux, where is imposible to get accel unless you use DGA or
GL, isnt it?
