I have an AMD Athlon 1.4GHz with 128M RAM and a Turtle Beach Montego II sound card (I'm not sure what the mainboard is). The only other peripheral driver I'm running is the tulip.o to drive my Netgear ethernet card, but I doubt that that's causing a problem...is the sound card sharing irq's?
I had my AU8820 sharing its IRQ with 2 other devices with no problem. Right now, both AU8830 in my box are sharing their IRQ, but my Mainboards has a <somthing> that multiplexes the interrupt by hardware: PCI: Using configuration type 1 PCI: Probing PCI hardware PCI: Using IRQ router SIS [1039/0008] at 00:02.0 Linux NET4.0 for Linux 2.4 James: Another thing, dont forget to read back the interrupt reset register to avoid problems with caches (force physical write), since the Aureal cards uses MMIO. Just another problem i had before that may happen ... Manuel
