I can think of one: if I want to copy my work directory between
systems, or if I want to share it between systems over NFS. Also,
it's good to keep in mind that OpenVMS (still, at least with ODS-2.
With ODS-5, it's a different matter) has case-insensitive file names,
usually upper case but translated down to lower case by the C library,
so it would be a good idea to keep it lower case.

Cheers,
Richard
