m doesn't seem very likely.  M might work.  mtn is long enough not to
get mixed up, but I suspect if I didn't use the command for a few
days, I might forget the name.  I prefer "monotone", and using
"monotone" in the documentation, but maybe suggesting that some users
like to alias "mtn", and explaining how to get shell completion to
apply to such an alias (I presume that's about as easy in bash as it
is in zsh).
