Re: development on windows

I've done a fresh Ubuntu install on my 2nd partition so I can create this lily-dev remix. Lilypond built successfully but the user documentation is failing very early in the process. The CG built correctly, but none of the stuff in user/ is building.  Can anyone see what the problem is from this error log? I've never had this error building docs before.

I was wrong about this. It's for Debian or Ubuntu. I can do Debian if you think it's better. The question then is which desktop environment to install. GNOME has all that Evolution stuff that's really hard to strip out b/c so many things depend on it. XFCE is what I use but newer users may not find it as friendly as gnome. I'm not comfortable with KDE at all.
