Hi Greg,

Although I'm not sure, I am fairly certain I have killed gpsd a couple
of times and restarted it to get up-to-date with git head.
Will try Gary's suggestion and update firmware.
Hard to know if the trouble will show up again or not. A week,  month
or more? Who knows.
