Why should we? Windows, 2000 and newer, is a very stable and very usable
system. It may have many flaws, aesthetic and otherwise, but at it's core it's
good enough to use. Add Cygwin, and it's an adequate replacement for Linux
client systems. And GNUstep apps don't care what OS they run on, they only care
for GNUstep.
Yes, the Windows APIs are a pain (not that there isn't a bunch of crap in POSIX
as well). But that's exactly the problem that GNUstep fixes
Besides, Windows won't die if we ignore it, but GNUstep will gain a LOT of
momentum if it runs on Windows.

I personally am on no such mission. I don't much care for the world; I'd be
glad already if I could teach my STUDENTS how to write good software, but
they're amazingly resistent against my efforts. But since the world uses
Windows, how can anyone try to change its attitude by sticking to Unix?
