I'll do what I can.  I do have a chip that David sent along for me to
play with, but I haven't yet mounted it on a board.  David has a pair
of them mounted on MAVRIC-II boards and I verified that I could enter
programming mode at least using AVRDUDE and set fuses and such using
his boards.  I'll see if I can mount my AT90CAN128 chip that David
sent and spend some more cycles on this.  I understand from David that
AVR Studio seems to support the new chip (I'd be surprised if it
didn't) so I think he at least has a method of programming the chip
until we can get our stuff working on the open source side.

I've been itching to play with CAN for a while, looks like now I have
a new toy :-) It's an added plus that the AT90CAN128 is pin compatible
with the ATmega128 so it will drop right onto my MAVRIC* boards with
no changes.
