The Adafruit Ultimate GPS (I think that’s what he’s talking about) has a 
connection for an external antenna and comes with an optional battery backup 
(just for GPS state/system - no clock chip).  I’m using 3 x Adafruit GPS’s with 
external antenna & 2 with batteries.
