Marcus has not abandoned the Hurd.  He is working on a new
microkernel, which he thinks we need.  I hope that this will turn out
well, but one cannot tell in advance.

Meanwhile, I could give more responsibility to Thomas if he wants more
responsibility.  Thomas, do you want it?
