I too have tested but to no avail. I've been talking to Oskar off-list
to attempt to get some things working, and to get the compile to work
more natively on FreeBSD. I'm willing to do any type of traffic
sniffing or comparisons with other UPNP servers to see what
proprietary bits MS may have put in. I did some diffs of the XML files
between gmediaserver and twonky, sent them to Oskar, but nothing
noticeable jumped out.

If we could get an effort of this working that of course would be
great- MS's crappy Media Connect won't share data that's over a
network drive, so it's useless for my setup to share any mp3's and
such. The files are natively on *nix anyhow, so there's no point in
having a windows server on..
