May I suggest
FT_PALETTE_FOR_LIGHT_BACKGROUND
instead of
FT_PALETTE_USABLE_WITH_LIGHT_BACKGROUND
Or just FT_PALETTE_DARK, whatever it implies.
It is easier to code with shorter identifiers.
