Actually I am not sufficiently familiar with the field to know exactly what it is I am interested in yet. I picked this book up mostly because my project last summer dealt with Agent-Based modeling within rural Ugandan societies and I was interested in continuing what I had been learning/working on.

I am not very far in (first paper after the introduction) but so far it has proved interesting at the very least.

 You might find
Wolfgang Weidlich's _Sociodynamics_ (2000, Harwood) helpful in that area. Many useful models are covered from a more biological perspective in Steven Frank's very elegantly written _Foundations of Social Evolution_ (Princeton,
1998).
