Why do you think there is no objc compiler? It is fundamental to OS X?
Which version of the compiler are you actually building? What do you get
from a 'cc -v' on your home built compiler?
If you are avoiding the assembler and linker problems with libgcc++v3, you
are probably avoiding the Altivec optimisation as well.
I am trying to stick to the Apple way of doing things. Then with a bit of
luck I won't have to do it all again when they ship 10.2, which would be
very frustrating.
