have on hand.  It's only something I've heard rumor of..

Both are consistent with the JVM using up JNI globalrefs, which would
mean you have a proliferation of Java objects, perhaps a leak. 
Rather than saying "no that's impossible", pony up your code so that
we can actually investigate!
