Dear Marcus,

thanks again for the help!

That should have caught my eye. Stupid me. These must have been some
remains of an unsuccesful install attempt. (And unfotunately blt does not
come with a make uninstall ...)

So I did, then ran make and make install in the swarm distribution
directory again:

Now heatbugs compiles but I get a segmentation fault when I try to run it.
I think I remember that was an issue recently on this list, so I will dig
into the archive on Monday, when I can continue my installation. (I did an
ldd on heatbugs and the used libraries seem to be fine.)

When you or Paul pointed out the RPMs to me I misunderstood that they were
only available for some of the prerequisite programs. And there and then I
felt I was not doing so badly and I guess I was a bit (over-)impressed by
the "unknown" rpm. But maybe I should have tried it then (and maybe I
should now as not to succumb to the concorde fallacy ...)

A good weekend to all of you! Regards, Lorenz
