Samuel,

I couldn't find the previous attempt on my hard drive, but did find an old branch off of 0.8 on luke's git repository here: address@hidden:TheMuso/speechd-wip.git gsettings-migration branch.

If I remember right it has gsettings schemas for speech-dispatcher and a couple of schemas for the modules themselves. I'll take a closer look and rebase it if that sounds like the right direction to go.

BR,
Jeremy

No, no daemon required. it's just a glib implementation of the dconf spec. Afaiu it stores the settings in a binary file in the user's .config folder or somesuch.

Don't the gsettings tools need a daemon running?
