The wrapper script I use here has simplistic locking. IE, it touches a
file to indicate the backup is running, and removes that file when its
done. The wrapper bases the filename on the host/partition being backed
up. I ran into this for laptops that took longer than 1 hour to
complete.

A more intelligent locking (that records some process' PID so later
attempts can say "is the backup _still_ running, or did it die) is on
the todo list here.
