I'll take a shot.  By no means a definitive answer but I think it should do.

like many OSS projects, "when it's good enough".  Here there tends to
be spurts of development effort and periods of "not much happening".

I think this is certainly planed, but both are complex.

I think the interface itself is OK, but the fuctions exposed through
it are not.  some work fine, others need lots of work.
