Hello,
"But I'd suspect something strange in your PC software before suspecting
the tunnel code."
FWIW: I was using u-center, first on LInux, 2nd on Windows...same
behavior both times.
I like that idea of checking if the module is still chatting on the TX
pin. I will do that.
baudrate is 9600. Reason is in my post. Any changes require a "send" to
push it to the GPS. This freezes it immediately. Leave it alone it
freezes in 30sec. Push the "send" button in u-center it hangs
immediately.
So, I really want to see if the Module is hung or ? I just know u-center
stops updating. Rebooting the tiny (power off...power on) and not
touching anything and u-center picks right up again where it left off.
So that tells me u-center is not hung. It just seems the pipe goes quiet
and u-center stops getting updates over the serial port.
As a test I took the LEA-4P based tiny and plug it into the same cables
and leaving u-center running and after changing baudrate to 56k it shows
right up. So it's not a cabling or software issue on the ground station
it seems.
Regards,
David Conger
