same version as before, 2-8-4dev.19 ;
the URL is a local file: `lynx test1.gif'.
the point of this message was the peculiar set of lines issued by Lynx.

and re your reply to my (1): yes, that's the cartoon in question
(it's actually worth adding to my collection apart from the problem (smile)).
