Follow-up Comment #5, bug #26309 (project lwip):

OK, it wasn't quite clear!

I meant that there is a certain amount of overlap here between SO_BROADCAST
and SHUT_RD.  I don't think we can use one to implement the other, but that
they both require (among other things) the ability to say "don't queue
received data for RX".  I just think it would make sense to have that bit of
the code generic if we can.
