Follow-up Comment #1, bug #26309 (project lwip):

Can you explain how implementing SO_BROADCAST will solve the problem of the
stack buffering data on RX?

For a normal socket, not reading from it when it is receiving data is
essentially a bug in the application, but its one that has particularly bad
effects on lwIP.  I'm trying to understand how SO_BROADCAST makes a
difference.
