Yo ZB!

We all need help. :-)

Cam you see data on ttyS4 before you start gpsd? Like with "cat", or
"minicom".

Good.

OK.

OK.

Nope. Just fire up gpsd as root: gpsd -n /dev/ttyS4

Not your problem now, but:

The first check your connections. I'm not aware os any RS-422 hardware
for Linux. What are you using?

Before you start gpsd, run ppscheck naked, as root (not with sudo):

        ppscheck /dev/ttyS4

10 seconds? Autobaud can take WAY longer than 10 seconds. Did you set
the serial port speed first?

That said, looks like gpsd is reading your TSIP just fine.

You see satellites, so gpsd is talking to the receiver just fine.

Not abnormal. It depends on the default configuration of your
receiver.

Well, you cgps says you no fix, but you do see satellties and their
SNR is good. Did you wait 30 minutes for the almanac to download? Then
waited for the survey to complete?

I assume your antenna is outside, with a good sky view, and no multipth
or GPS repeaters?
