Yeah, that's why the GNU C compiler, gcc, is now a front end for C, C++,
Objective-C, Fortran, Java, and Ada. It's all about procedural languages.
And that's why Linux also includes Perl, Python, Tcl/Tk, Ruby, Guile,
Scheme, Curl, M4, and a horde of shells. And tools for SGML/XML.
