The Mono-guys want it, that's for sure. And the majority of Gnome-developers is aware of a potential danger.
Right. The whole Linux Development community is afraid anything that impinges on the power of the 'c' development hierarchy. In some sense, the whole OSS/Linux movement is a reassertion of the procedural programmers against the Object programmers.
That's the real battle, and don't let them tell you different.
