I just would like to answer this will a general warning. I'm not against your 
suggestion, but keep in mind that what makes the game complex, and so 
interesting, is all non-linear effects. So linearising everything just to be 
"orthogonal" is *very bad*. I give you an example in your case: you have to 
decide when to attack, once you have level 2 buildings or once you have level 
3? This is a non-linear (step like) feature which is very interesting.

So my answer is not "NO" but, rather, let's think about all implications 
first. We'll discuss this issue with nuage this evening also.
