component abstracted as a generic editing component. Applications
just use the editing object, and then you have Emacs running in every
little text box (probably one Emacs instance being used for all
editing fields).
Not just editing fields: it would also see text in noneditable
fields, like the text that makes up remotely served web pages. It
would even see some text that is typically hidden, things that are
currently only seen by the window manager and other active processes
for example. Under the circumstances I'm imagining, you would be
able to fully script just about any activity.
