For *my* purposes (i.e. getting MegaMek to run in a Free Java Runtime),
the most important news is the 98.44% compliance of GNU Classpath with
the Java v1.1 APIs. The only thing that *I'm* missing is a bugfree set
of AWT Peer classes! This is FANTASTIC news for me (especially because
Free Java hackers are now using MegaMek to debug the peers); by year's
end, I should be able to package it for Debian and achieve one of my
long-term goals for MegaMek.
