does it have the possibilty of four connections ? i can't see the point seeing as i've only got one phone line, so obviously i'm just not getting something, but what ?
The thing I figure is: after downloading a single multi part binary the CPU will top downloading, it will decode (UU, mime, or Yenc) the parts, then concatenate them, then save the binary file, all this time (1 second)
it is not downloading anything. With 4 separate strings going, while one string stops downloading, the other three are still sucking. The modern high speed CPU's and fast memory allow this background multi-tasking. With a 10 MHz 386 the downloading speed would most likely drop to a crawl or stop with the decoding process etc. Strictly my opinion. 73 (= Best Regards) de: Ron address@hidden 100% LINUX, since July, 1997 SENT Time and Date are UTC Visit my HAM Web SITE at: http://www.qsl.net/ka4inm
