Follow-up Comment #35, bug #55187 (project octave): Right. The current build uses the qcollectiongenerator tool to build the compressed help that is used in the Octave GUI itself. It also uses the qhelpgenerator tool in Doxyfile to build a compressed help format of the API docs with the optional 'make doxyhtml' target. With Qt 5.12 the qhelpgenerator tool will serve both of those purposes. Maybe we can create a small simple input file in the configure script that we can feed to qhelpgenerator to see if it can process it or not. If not, we need qcollectiongenerator.
