OK, apparently the "-m alsa_seq" command line option is still required to get
Rosegarden to see the synth channels.  BTW, I'm using Rosegarden 4-0.8.  I'm
also not hearing any sound from the synth (and I swear I did two days ago using
the same synth version!).

Also, I think it would be nice if FluidSynth prints a version number and
compile/build date as part of the console welcome message.  This will help
provide a sanity check to those of us that frequently switch between running
different versions.  I imagine the version number being hardcoded in a CVS
source file and the build date provided by the build process somehow.
