Doesn't the necessary offset drop when you use higher speeds?

I used the defaults for the Uputronics board. That's 9600 baud and once per second.

Yes, using a higher speed should reduce the required offset, but I've not found that necessary in the scenarios I'm running. For pure stand-alone reduced offset and variation of offset would be an advantage.
