Surely, structures can be hijacked.
Nevertheless, I believe it’s not only possible, but also necessary, to
give more weight to the opinions of GNU maintainers and hackers in the
GNU project, without compromising the project’s goals.
Debian may not be perfect but it has achieved that to a large degree,
while not compromising on its original goals.
