You haven't said how developers are sharing the library. NFS doesn't work at the moment with revision libraries, because its sanity checks expect device numbers to remain constant, and NFS's don't. There's been lots of discussion on the list and there's some stuff on the wiki, too.

Tom has said he plans to fix it.
